Blurb from Goodreads:
Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don’t kill him first, that is.
My Review:
Damn! Sizzle. Sizzle. Sizzle. Pop. Pop. Pop. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Did you just hear that? Yes! Those firecrackers and bombing sounds. That's Obsidian my beloveds. Obsidian sizzles at the edge at first, then burning you at the fingers which mercilessly proceeds to consume with its raging fire. Obsidian burns baby.
Obsidian is more than hot. The characters are so wonderfully engaging; slewing you with witty dialogues and fizzling chemistry. Kat is more than feisty. She is like popcorns popping without stopping. Me likey. Miaowwwwwww.
Ah. The legendary god-jerk. Daemon. Daemon Black. You can't help but love him and be exasperated with his brazen attitude.
Dee. Dee is like a squirmy kitten or puppy. She is so squiggly. So cute. I love Dee.
I love so many things about Obsidian. So much till' it's impossible to put them all in words. Obsidian sucks you right in the moment you open it to read. It takes you on a non-stop roller coaster ride which will leave you breathless and literally begging for more. Obsidian is a unique one. It starts with a bang and shamelessly ends with a bang.
