Blurb from Goodreads:
A former blood slave, the vampire Zsadist still bears the scars from a past filled with suffering and humiliation. Renowned for his unquenchable fury and sinister deeds, he is a savage feared by humans and vampires alike. Anger is his only companion, and terror is his only passion—until he rescues a beautiful aristocrat from the evil Lessening Society.
Bella is instantly entranced by the seething power Zsadist possesses. But even as their desire for one another begins to overtake them both, Zsadist’s thirst for vengeance against Bella’s tormentors drives him to the brink of madness. Now, Bella must help her lover overcome the wounds of his tortured past, and find a future with her…
My Review:
"I was dead until you found me, though I breathed. I was sightless, though I could see. And then you came...and I was awakened."
The horror. The traumatic events. The sorrow. The sweetness. Lover Awakened shook me to the core and wrung my heart unlike any other. It made me well up with tears, laughed and grinned like an idiot. Lover Awakened was so fragile which it has to been handled with care. No words could described this book and I am too overwhelmed by it to review it. The ending was so privately sweet. Z deserved all the happiness after all that he had gone through. It just feels too sacrilegious to review Lover Awakened and the quote above says it all.

I just finished reading the first book in the series, Dark Lover. It was surprisingly good, didn't except to like it so much!
ReplyDeleteI reviewed the first two books as well but Lover Awakened was too emotional for me to review. You will understand once you have read it. I was surprised I love the series as well as I wasn't into Adult Paranormal Romances.
